Banana peppers, also known as the yellow wax pepper, is a milder version of its genetic brother the Hungarian Hot Wax. In Indian cuisine, also known as an Ooty chillies, used to make Milagai Bajji (chili fritters).

The Banana pepper is a medium-sized pepper that has a mild, sweet taste. While typically bright yellow, it is possible for them to change to red or orange as they ripen. It is often pickled, stuffed or used as a raw ingredient in foods. Its flavor is not very hot, but its hotness depends on the maturity of the pepper.
