Originally from Suriname, a country on the northeastern Atlantic coast of South America, it is used in almost all facets of Surinamese cuisine. This Habanero variant is grown mainly in Surinam and Aruba. The Madam Jeanette has 2 color varieties, yellow and red, and are also called  “Suriname Yellow” or “Suriname Red”. The plant is very prolific. It has a relatively compact growth and dislikes cool sites. It will also grow indoors. FLAVOR:  Its flavor is described as fruity, with hints of mango and pineapple.
